Parks, Recreation and Marine offers programming just for teens (ages 13-18) who live in Long Beach or attend a Long Beach school. Tournaments, arts & crafts and after-game dances, games, field trips, homework help, sports and more are offered.

  • Admiral Kidd Park: Monday-Friday, 3 p.m.-7 p.m.

  • Chavez Park: Monday-Friday, 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

  • Freeman Center: Monday-Friday, 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

  • Coolidge Park (temporarily offering programs due to Houghton park construction.): Monday-Friday, 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

  • McBride Park: Monday-Friday, 2 p.m. -7 p.m.

  • Silverado Park: Monday-Friday, 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Join the Jewel Box Children’s Theater Company for playtime with Shakespeare in the Park! Free admission. July 20 and 21st at Chavez Park Amphitheater.

The afternoon includes fairy crafts and signing starting at 12:30 pm, and at 2:00 pm, a performance of “Poor Fancy’s Followers,” a family-friendly re-telling of William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” adapted by Lovelle Liquigan and Erwin Tuazon.

At the Farm Dinner at Ranch, you will enjoy a gracious garden party reception with a down-home “ranch” flair, then dine amid the corrals, barns and farm animals for a delightful evening of remarkable food, lively entertainment and good friends. Your farm-to-table feast will be prepared by Chef Paul Buchanan, voted the Best Chef year-after-year by the Long Beach Press Telegram Reader’s Choice Awards.
