The Art Walk takes place on Ocean Blvd., Linden Ave,, 1st Street, Broadway and Elm Ave. Art galleries, gift shops, boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops stay open late. Linden Avenue is closed to the traffic and transformed into a street art fair by local artists. Two stages are dedicated to street performances and live music. Unique items and works of art in combination with paintings, sculpture, photography, crafts and hands-on workshops mixed with theatre and dance are offered.

Rancho Los Alamitos is a National Register site and has been more to diverse cultures for more than 1500 years. Tour the historic ranch house, four acres of gardens, a visitor center, and barnyard with horse, sheep , goats, chickens, ducks and rabbits. Tours are open Wednesdays through Sundays, 1 pm to 5 pm.

Mud Mania: A Celebration of Adobe

Learn about our local adobe soil and its uses throughout history at one of the muddiest, wackiest events in Southern California! Guests will make real adobe bricks, plaster a wall with mud, construct a mini-adobe home, compete in mud relay races, throw a clay pot, explore archaeology, and even examine critters that live in the soil. There are also plenty of “clean” activities, and live bluegrass music throughout the afternoon. Refreshments for sale.

The award-winning Homeland Cultural Center will present DanceFest 2019 on July 14 at 4 p.m. at the International City Theater. Admission and parking are free. The event will feature DanceFest will showcase the resident performing groups from Homeland Cultural Center including West African drum and dance, Aztec dance, Cambodian dance and martial; arts, Micronesian music and dance, pop-locking, hip-hop, and Hmong traditional arts.
